Despite no longer being teammates with the Miami Heat, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James continue to possess one of the closest friendships of any pair of high profile professional athletes in the world.

Per Wade’s Instragram account, the future hall of famers once again worked out together this week at UCLA. The hoops icons were joined by none other than number one overall pick Ben Simmons, as well as LeBron’s Cavs running buddies Richard Jefferson and Jordan McRae (group pictured on right).

Sadly, Wade recently found himself in the news for a very tragic set of circumstances, after his cousin, Nykea Aldridge, was senselessly murdered in Chicago last week.

Wade and James working out together is reminiscent of the much publicized training session, during the 2015-16 regular season, when LBJ traveled to Miami to briefly reunite with his good friend.

Remarkably, both men are back playing basketball in the areas they each grew up in, with LeBron of course leading the Cavs to the franchise’s first ever championship last season. While earlier this summer, Wade signed a free agent contract with his hometown Bulls.

Here is a look at LeBron’s newly purchased Los Angeles home, which sits three miles west of the UCLA campus.
