LeBron James $30 million payout Beats ElectronicsWhile a good portion of Thursday's non NBA Finals discussion has centered around reports of the Miami Heat somehow finding a way to add New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony to its already star-studded roster next season, one cannot overlook the other bit of business news that came out on Thursday.

One of the reasons LeBron James, in particular, would reportedly be OK with taking less money (would be necessary to sign Anthony) is due to the $30 million payout he just received, based upon a very astute contractual arraignment with the Beats Electronics company, that just so happened to be sold to Apple for $3 billion.

Brian Windhorst and Marc Stein detailed both of the above scenarios on ESPN.com.
