Michael Jordan Delivers An Emotional Speech At Kobe Bryant Tribute | Video
Monday, just a couple days shy of the one-month anniversary of the tragic helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant, Gianna Bryant and seven others, 20,000 people gathered at Staples Center to honor the basketball icon and his 13-year-old daughter.
Basketball luminaries, celebrities and Kobe devotees watched as Jimmy Kimmel emceed an event that featured speeches from Vanessa Bryant, Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal, Rob Pelinka, Diana Taurasi, Sabrina Ionescu and Geno Auriemma, along with performances from Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera and Alicia Keys.
Without question, one of the event’s most memorable vocalizations was delivered by the aforementioned Michael Jordan, who grew extremely emotional when discussing his friendship with Kobe, along with the sadness that has overtaken him, in the wake of Kobe’s passing.
