Monta Ellis Prior To Last Game With GSW (Video)

Tuesday, the Golden State Warriors traded guard Monta Ellis, along with Ekpe Udoh and Kwame Brown, to the Milwaukee Bucks, in exchange for former number one overall pick Andrew Bogut and one-time Warrior Stephen Jackson. Ellis leaves the Bay Area averaging 21.9 points and 6 assists per game this season, after being drafted by the Warriors in the second round of the 2005 draft, out of Lanier High School in Jackson, Mississippi.

Ellis joins a Milwaukee team that is battling for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with the free falling New York Knicks. Though undersized, the Bucks' new backcourt of the 6-3 Ellis and the 6-1 Brandon Jennings will bring a high level of athleticism to the Bradley Center, as the two men have combined for an average of 41 points and 11.7 assists during the 2011-2012 campaign.

Sunday afternoon, in the hours prior to what would turn out to be his last game with Golden State, Ellis stopped to sign autographs for fans outside of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. To the delight of the awaiting group, the now ex-Warrior offered a good few minutes of his time, shortly before posting 21 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists, in GSW's 97-93 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Rumors had been swirling about Ellis' possible departure from Oakland for quite a while, but during the time of the above clip, the 2007 NBA Most Improved Player was business as usual, despite the discussions that clearly had taken place.

None the less, two days later, he was off to Wisconsin

Ironically, Ellis could very well make his Bucks debut on Friday, against of all teams, the Golden State Warriors, back home at Oakland's ORACLE Arena.
