Morris Peterson Interview: Giving Back To His Beloved Flint
Morris Peterson won the 2000 national championship, as a member of the Michigan State Spartans, before playing in the NBA for an impressive 11 seasons. Despite his level of basketball accomplishment, the 2000 Big Ten Player of the Year’s most noteworthy effort may very well involve his continued interest in improving the lives of the residents of his hometown of Flint, Michigan.
Recently, Lance Martinez from My Detroit Sports conducted an interview with the 41-year-old Michigan hoops legend.
In this first clip, Peterson discusses the scope of the Morris Peterson Jr. Foundation, including the school supplies event being held the day of the interview, as well as future events involving the foundation.
The second package features Peterson highlighting the many challenges facing Flint, along with why so many of the city’s most famous natives have come to the aid of their hometown.
