The Cavs 93-89 triumph was viewed by a whopping 31 million people, with viewership peaking in the neighborhood of 44.5 million. Game 7 was the most watched NBA telecast since 36 million folks tuned in to see Michael Jordan and the Bulls beat the Jazz in 1998.

All told, the 7-game series averaged just above 20 million viewers per game (11.3 rating), making it the most watched series since the very same ’98 Finals.

What a night for the Cavs, Northeast Ohio, ABC/ESPN and the NBA.
