Nuggets Center JaVale McGee Spotted At LAX
Last week, Denver Nuggets big man JaVale McGee was seen walking through the baggage claim area of the United Airlines terminal at Los Angeles International Airport. McGee spends much of his offseason in LA, where he has been a longtime participant in the Drew League summer pro-am. Entering his second year of a four-year/$44 million contract, McGee comes off a season where he posted 9.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest. His 18 minutes per game average (MPG) represented the six-year player's lowest level of playing time since 2009-2010, when McGee was a member of the Washington Wizards. In fact, McGee's MPG is down nearly 10 full minutes, in the two seasons since the now 25-year-old relocated to the Rocky Mountains. With George Karl no longer running the show in Denver, it will be interesting to see what type of role McGee will possess under new Nuggets head coach Brian Shaw.
