Previewing What Could Be A Warriors Vs. Cavs Finals Preview
Thursday night, in a possible NBA Finals preview, the 36-22 Cavaliers host the 44-10 Warriors, on TNT. Both teams possess a bevy of star power, with the Warriors “Splash Brothers” backcourt of Klay Thompson and possible MVP Stephen Curry leading the way for the West's top team. This season, Curry is scoring 23.8 points, grabbing 4.6 boards and dishing out 7.9 assists per game.
For the Cavs, it finely looks like their big three of Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving, and of course LeBron James, are figuring out how to play together. Out of the gate, Cleveland struggled to a 19-20 record, but are now one of the hottest teams in the league, going 17-2 since James returned from injury, which came a few days after the team acquired current key contributors J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert and Timofey Mozgov.
Earlier this week, Cleveland added even more muscle up front, signing Kendrick Perkins, after he was traded to and subsequently bought out by the Jazz.
The best player on the court, four-time MVP James, is also an MVP candidate this season, averaging 25.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 7.3 assists per contest.
This should be a good one, as both teams have gone 8-2, in each of their last 10 games.
The Cavs are 21-9 at home (including a current 10-game winning streak), while the Warriors are 20-8 on the road.
