Ricky Rubio In LA Before Latest Surgery (Video)
Monday, Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio underwent successful arthroscopic ankle surgery in the Los Angeles suburb of Van Nuys, California. The procedure was performed by Dr. Richard Ferkel. Rubio posted a photo to Instagram, shortly after the operation was complete. The 24-year-old only played in 22 games this season, after severely injuring his left ankle, early in the 2014-15 campaign. The Wolves hope that this latest effort will allow the Spaniard to be at 100 percent, come next season.
Friday, while the Wolves were in Los Angeles to battle the also lottery bound Lakers, Rubio was spotted exiting the Montage Beverly Hills hotel. Dr. Ferkel's San Fernando Valley practice is located 12 miles north of the Montage.
