Rudy Gay Signing For Fans In LA (Video)
Memphis Grizzlies forward Rudy Gay can throw it down with the best of them. The UConn alum has proven to be a solid NBA scorer (14.8 career PPG), but is probably better known for his ability to get up and down the floor. In 2010, Memphis rewarded Gay's athleticism by providing him a five-year/$82 million contract.
Gay, Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph and Mike Conley Jr. now represent the nucleus of the suddenly very scary Grizzlies organization.
Video of Gay's generosity to fans has been chronicled multiple times, via the pages of iFolloSports.com. Whether it is at a Long Beach (CA) summer league game, or prior to a road game at the Minnesota Timberwolves, Gay always appears to show his fans the proper level of respect.
Wednesday, prior to the Grizzlies season opening loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, iFolloSports.com original video showcased yet another example of Gay doing work for those seeking a minute of his time.
Gay's interaction with a group of kids, outside of the JW Marriott Los Angeles LA Live, is visible per the above piece of video.
Though the group of autograph seekers was smaller than normal, for LA standards at least, Gay still should be commended for continually looking to increase his good guy status, no matter the situation.
Later in the evening, the Baltimore native posted 25 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.
Grizzlies fans hope this opening night performance will serve as a harbinger of what is to come.
