Steve Nash Is Still Beloved By NBA Fans (Video)

All-time great point guard Steve Nash is playing in his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers, amid his seventeenth NBA campaign. Unfortunately, the vastly underachieving Lakers stand at a disappointing 22-26. Making matters worse, the future Hall of Famer missed 24 games, due to a leg injury, earlier in the season. Entering Tuesday's game with the Brooklyn Nets, the British Columbia product is averaging 11.7 points and 7.8 assist a game.

Prior to joining the Lakers, Nash spent his career with the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks. The legend's resume includes eight All-Star appearances, three All-NBA first team nods and two NBA MVP selections. Nash was originally drafted by the Suns in 1996 and spent his first two years there (1996-1998), before playing in Dallas from 1998-2004. During Nash's eight-year return to the desert (2004-2012), he won both his MVP awards, while making six of his eight All-Star appearances. Nash also led the Suns to three Western Conference Finals.

As a result of all his accolades, Nash has become one of the most popular players in the NBA and a fan favorite. Above is original video of Nash signing autographs for a large group of people at the Target Center, in downtown Minneapolis. This event took place less than an hour before the Lakers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 111-100. In that contest, Nash totaled 17 points and 7 assists.
