A Tour Of The Pistons Sparkling New Practice Facility | Video
Earlier this month, the Detroit Pistons officially moved into their brand new practice facility and headquarters, located in the city’s New Center neighborhood, two miles north of Little Caesars Arena, the club’s midtown Detroit home venue since 2017.
The opening of the 185,000-square-foot Henry Ford Pistons Performance Center officially completes the franchise’s relocation into Detroit proper, after spending the last three decades playing and practicing in suburban Auburn Hills, 30 miles north of downtown Detroit. The Pistons have long practiced at a training center situated immediately next door to the soon-to-be demolished Palace of Auburn Hills.
The Pistons’ new digs feature the team’s entire basketball and business operational headquarters, as well as an adjoining sports medicine and research center. The $90 million complex will also include an open-to-the-public grocery store and health club, along with indoor and outdoor community event spaces.
