Towns and Wiggins Celebrate The Hiring Of Ryan Saunders | Photos

Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins photoTuesday, the Minnesota Timberwolves formally announced the hiring of Ryan Saunders as the franchise’s head coach, after the 33-year-old son of late Wolves coach and front office executive Flip Saunders served as an interim sideline boss for the final 42 games of the 2018-2019 season. The press gathering took place in the Target Center ticket lobby, located in downtown Minneapolis.

The decision to formally appoint Saunders was made by recently hired president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas.

In addition to the assembled media, several Wolves players were present, including franchise cornerstone Karl-Anthony Towns, along with talented, but often maligned swingman Andrew Wiggins.
