Since Berrios was recalled from the Twins AAA affiliate in May, he has been nothing short of great, amid posting a 7-1 record, with a 2.67 ERA and 0.91 WHIP. This has been quite a turnaround from his rookie season of 2016, when the Puerto Rico native posted a 3-7 record, with a massive 8.02 ERA and 1.87 WHIP.

The 23-year-old Berrios, whom the Twins selected in the first round of the 2012 MLB Draft, has helped the team go from last place in 2016, to second place position in the AL Central division.

The Twins had been in first place for most of the season, until this past weekend, when the now division leading Indians overtook them.
