Tyson Chandler Is A Class Act With Fans (Videos)

Knicks center Tyson Chandler is in his eleventh NBA season. Chandler was originally drafted by the Clippers in the 2001 NBA Draft, but was immediately sent to the Bulls as part of a draft day trade.

After a few other stops, the California native was traded to the Mavericks before the 2010-2011 season. Chandler quickly found a lot of success in Dallas. His gritty defense and physical play around the basket was a major factor in the Mavericks defeat of the star-studded Heat in last season's NBA Finals.

As a result of these accomplishments, Chandler's stature has grown significantly throughout the NBA.

Once this season's lockout concluded, Chandler was traded to the Knicks, signing a four- year/$58 million contract upon his arrival in the Big Apple.

Despite his ever-growing status throughout the hoops world, Chandler gives as much time to autograph seekers as any other player in the league.

Last weekend, per the above iFollowSports.com original video, Chandler made time for every interested fan outside of Minneapolis' Target Center, on an especially frigid Twin Cities night.

It should also be noted that Chandler put in the same level of effort with fans outside of the Grand Hotel Minneapolis, the Knicks hotel of choice when playing Kevin Love and company.

Later that night, Chandler totaled 12 points and 7 rebounds in New York's 100-98 victory over the Timberwolves.

In late December, as this iFollowSports.com original video displays, Chandler also spent significant time interacting with fans outside of the Montage Beverly Hills hotel. In this instance, Chandler even posed for photos with some LA basketball fans. This all took place before an early season Knicks game against the Lakers.

Tyson Chandler might be a tough customer on the court, but judging by our reporting in both Minneapolis and Los Angeles, he seems like a really solid human being off of it.
