What Led The Cavaliers To Part Ways With Their Championship GM?
By Jon Rapoport
One year after putting together the team that won Cleveland’s first professional sports championship since 1964, Cavaliers general manager David Griffin and VP of basketball operations Trent Redden shockingly parted ways with the team and Cavs majority owner Dan Gilbert.
With his contractual situation in doubt, Griffin had hoped to interview for previously open GM positions in Orlando, Atlanta and Milwaukee. Unfortunately for Griffin, his boss (Gilbert) would not allow such interviews to take place.
Below is iFolloSports.com original video of Griffin, gathered during last summer’s Las Vegas NBA Summer League.
