Wildcats, Tar Heels & Rockets Set To Dominate Draft

Wildcats, Tar Heels & Rockets Set To Dominate Draft During Thursday's 2012 NBA Draft, the names of two heavyweight college programs and a currently mediocre NBA team will be mentioned quite often throughout the night.

According to the most recent Sports Illustrated.com mock draft, both Kentucky and North Carolina will each have four players taken in the draft's first round.

On the Kentucky side, Anthony Davis, Michael-Kidd Gilchrist, Terrence Jones and Marquis Teague are expected to be chosen, while the Tar Heels should see Harrison Barnes, John Henson, Tyler Zeller and Kendall Marshall picked.

It is pretty remarkable to think that these two powerhouse programs could produce nearly 30 percent of this year's first round.

On what could be a related note, the Rockets currently own three first round selections (12th, 16th, 18th) and are rumored to be setting themselves up to make a run at Orlando Magic superstar center Dwight Howard.

If Houston is unable to make this mega move, there is a very reasonable chance that someone from Lexington and/or Chapel Hill will be making their way to South Texas.
