Jack Taylor Returns To Earth After 138-Point Performance
We all heard about Jack Taylor of Grinnell College and the 138 points he scored against Faith Baptist Bible, last Tuesday night, in a 179-104 win. His next game was Sunday evening against William Penn University (Oskaloosa, Iowa).
Once again, Taylor came off the bench, but this time he scored "only" 21 points, in a 131-116 lathering by the Statesmen. Taylor shot 6-21 from the field and sunk 3 of 13 three-pointers.
Against Faith Baptist, the 5-10 sophomore shooting guard broke the all-time NCAA scoring record, hoisting up 71 three-point shots (making 27), while sinking 52 of 108 from the floor for the Pioneers.
He averaged a shot every 20 seconds.
Taylor's scoring average dropped to 51.5 points per game, after the loss to William Penn.
The Wisconsin native transferred to Grinnell from Wisconsin-La Crosse and naturally, his mother's name is Elizabeth.
