The Kansas Jayhawks Return Home To An Allen Fieldhouse Celebration (Video)
Sunday, it what was both the most anticipated and most exciting game of the Elite 8, the Kansas Jayhawks defeated the Duke Blue Devils 85-81 in overtime. This battle of the titans matchup took place at the CenturyLink Center, in downtown Omaha.
Sophomore guard Malik Newman led the way for KU, posting 32 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals.
The Jayhawks now head to San Antonio for what will be the school’s 15th Final Four appearance. Ironically, Kansas’ fifth and most recent national title occurred in 2008, the last time the Final Four was held in the Alamo City.
A few hours after securing yet another trip to college basketball’s biggest stage, the KU squad arrived back to their Lawrence, Kansas campus for a celebration at the venerable Phog Allen Fieldhouse.
Below are some of the highlights from the celebratory gathering.
