LA Rock Royalty Comes Out In Support Of UCLA's Shabazz Muhammad
Last Friday night was the grand re-opening of newly renovated Pauley Pavilion, on the campus of UCLA. Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea was the celebrity singer of the national anthem, for the game versus Indiana State.
But, it is what he wore, not how he sang, that got all of the Bruins fans buzzing.
Flea was adorned in a light blue T-shirt, with the words "Free Shabazz Muhammad" written across it.
Shabazz Muhammad is a dynamic, high-scoring freshman forward, who has been ruled temporally ineligible by the NCAA, while the body investigates whether Muhammad's family received money from adidas or financial agents.
Give Flea credit for winning over UCLA students during the Bruins' 86-59 rout.
Thus far, however, the NCAA has not been anywhere near as impressed.
