A Look At The Villanova Wildcats Practice and Game Facilities (Video and Photos)

A Look At The Villanova Wildcats Practice and Game Day HeadquartersMonday night, the Villanova Wildcats won their second NCAA crown in the last three years and third in the last 33 years. The 10,000-student, Roman Catholic affiliated institution, located 11 miles west of Center City Philadelphia, is without question one of the preeminent college basketball programs in the country.

Both the men’s and women’s Wildcat squads are headquartered at the Davis Center for Athletics and Fitness. The first two floors of the three-story, 55,000-square-foot building houses a practice court, locker, weight, training and film rooms, along with player lounges and coaches offices.

The third floor is a student dedicated fitness center.

Below is both an exterior photo and video tour of the complex.

The men’s program splits its games between the 6,500-seat on campus Finneran Pavilion and the 20,000-capacity Wells Fargo Center, which serves as the full-time home of the 76ers and Flyers. Nova rotates home games between the two buildings, based on the caliber of opponent and anticipated demand for tickets. The Wells Fargo Center sits 11 miles southeast of the school.

This season, the national champs spent the vast majority of its time at the Wells Fargo Center, due to a scheduled renovation of the 32-year-old Finneran Pavilion.

Below are photos of the former and future look of the pavilion, along with a glimpse of the Nova experience at the Wells Fargo Center.
