Kellen Moore 43-2 recordLooking back, it was not so surprising that league winners New York and Philadelphia were eliminated in the first round of the baseball playoffs. In the past 21 seasons, the team with the most victories in the regular season has won the World Series only three times. 

Quarterback Kellen Moore has a 43-2 record as the Boise State starter. The Broncos are now 114-13 in the past ten years. 

Georgia Tech is off to its best start since 1966, but that's nothing compared with Illinois. The Fighting Illini is having its best start in 60 years. 

The state of Florida has been dominant in recent years, but this week's Top 25 does not include Florida, Florida State or Miami for the first time since 1982. 

The USC Trojans have allowed 43 points to Arizona State and 41 to Arizona in their past two outings. USC has been playing football since 1888 and this is the first time the Trojans have ever given up more than 40 in consecutive games.

Nebraska's comeback win over Ohio State was the biggest in school history. 

More bad news for Eagles' fans, only 5 percent of teams that have started 1-4 end up making the playoffs.  What about the "Dream Team” now?

New England has scored 30 or more points in 13 consecutive regular season games, one short of the NFL record of 14. In addition, Tom Brady is now 30-0 in his last 30 regular season home games.
