2018 Rose Bowl Stadium, Team Hotel, Practice and Media Info
Monday at 5:00ET/2:00PT, No.2 Oklahoma and No.3 Georgia will play in The 104th Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual. The game takes place annually in the Los Angeles suburb of Pasadena, California.
Below are the stadium, team and media logistical setups for the leadoff College Football Playoff Semifinal matchup.
Stadium
Rose Bowl Stadium
Set amongst the San Gabriel Mountains, along Los Angeles County’s famed Arroyo Seco, the 95-year-old structure sits 10 miles northeast of downtown LA and 24 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean.
Team Hotels
The Sooners are staying at the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, in the southwest corner of downtown LA, 11 miles southwest of the Rose Bowl Stadium. The joint Marriott/Ritz-Carlton structure is the signature edifice of the L.A. LIVE entertainment complex, which also includes an array of restaurants and bars, the Microsoft Theater, Grammy Museum and ESPN’s Los Angeles studios. L.A. LIVE sits directly across the street from both Staples Center and the LA Convention Center.
The Bulldogs are calling the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown hotel home. The recently opened LA high-rise property (located 10 miles southwest of the Rose Bowl Stadium) is part of the new Wilshire Grand Center, the tallest building west of the Mississippi River. The InterContinental lobby is found on the 70th floor, with the hotel’s nearly 900 rooms sitting on floors 31 through 68.
Practice Sites
Both schools are working out at the StubHub Center, in the southwest LA County city of Carson, 13 miles southwest of downtown LA and 24 miles southwest of the Rose Bowl Stadium. The vast multi sport complex includes a 27,000-seat main stadium that serves as the temporary venue of the Los Angeles Chargers and the longstanding home of the MLS’s LA Galaxy.
Media Hotel
Media operations are headquartered at The L.A Hotel Downtown, which sits a couple blocks up Figueroa St. from both the JW Marriott and InterContinental, 10 miles southwest of the Rose Bowl Stadium.
