Jerry Kill's Weekly Radio Show (Photo)

Thursday, iFolloSports.com was on hand for “Gopher Football Weekly,” a weekly radio show, featuring Minnesota Golden Gophers head football coach Jerry Kill. The show is held at Joe Sensors Sports Theater, in the Twin Cities suburb of Roseville (MN).
The program, which takes place amid a very laid back setting, allows fans to interact with the 51-year-old coach.
In front of a nice crowd, Kill talked about the importance of this week's home game against the Western Michigan Broncos, which also happens to be a “GOLD OUT.”
The second-year coach strongly encouraged fans to wear gold (one of the school's signature colors) to the non conference contest.
Kill also noted how significant it was that former NFL player and Gopher alum Marion Barber III stopped by practice to motivate the team recently.
Kill initially got off to a slow start as Minnesota coach, posting a 3-9 record last season. This year, he is off to a 2-0 start, heading into this weekend's game.
The team's solid start has brought a little sense of optimism to this recently downtrodden program. Gopher fans hope that Kill can finally get this team turned around, so that the program can more successfully compete in the ultra competitive Big Ten.
