More Bad News For The Buckeyes

Brutus BuckeyeEven though the hearings before the NCAA Committee on Infractions is still three weeks away, Ohio State continued to get bad news this week.

Kyle Kalis, a highly rated offensive tackle, who was a lifelong Ohio State fan and supporter of former head coach Jim Tressel, announced on Monday that he was changing his verbal commitment from the Buckeyes to arch-rival Michigan.

"I can't go there and take penalties that I never did," explained Kalis of Lakewood, Ohio.

He added that he expected other Ohio State recruits would join him in going to the Wolverines.

Earlier this year, another Buckeye big-time recruit, offensive guard Chris Carter Jr. of Cleveland, was arrested on charges of fondling eight high school female classmates, after telling them he was measuring them for ROTC uniforms.  Carter, who signed with Ohio State in February, saw his charges dropped due to lack of evidence. But, his future with the Buckeyes is unclear.
