Ohio St's Cardale Jones Not So Into The Student Part Of Student Athlete
Cardale Jones is a red shirt freshman quarterback at Ohio State, who apparently is not too interested in academic achievement.
Friday morning, Jones questioned the value of a college education in this tweet:
"Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS.
We are certain that coach Urban Meyer or even university president Gordon Gee could answer his question.
Jones' Twitter account has since been deleted and as a reward for his stellar judgment, Jones was suspended for the Buckeyes 63-38 victory over Nebraska on Saturday (not that he would have played anyway).
Jones led Cleveland Glenville High School to a 24-3 record, in his two years as the starting quarterback, before enrolling at Ohio State.
No word on his GPA, while at Glenville.
