Alabama Crimson Tide Returns From 2018 Championship GameMonday night, the Alabama Crimson Tide secured their 17th claimed national championship, thanks to a thrilling 26-23 overtime victory over Georgia, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta.  The Tide have now won an incredible five championships in the last nine seasons.

For coach Nick Saban, Monday’s victory marked his sixth career national title, with the first one taking place at LSU, followed by the remaining five occurring at Alabama. Saban is now tied with fellow Crimson Tide legend Bear Bryant for most national crowns won by a head coach.

In the wake of the school’s latest championship, the football program arrived back at Tuscaloosa Regional Airport, just before 10:00 am Central on Tuesday, courtesy of a 35-minute Delta Airlines charter from nearby Atlanta.

The Tuscaloosa Regional Airport sits 5.9 miles west of Bryant-Denny Stadium and 6.7 miles west of the Mal Moore Athletic Complex, which serves as the headquarters for the iconic Crimson Tide football program.
