Upset Alert In Austin

This week's upset alert takes us to Austin, Texas, where the Longhorns host the BYU Cougars. Texas is a seven-point favorite in Saturday's contest. 

In their opening game, BYU defeated Mississippi on the road and are 57-21 under coach Bronco Mendenhall. Plus, sophomore Jake Heaps is the best quarterback you have never heard of.

Texas is coming off a 5-7 season, its worst record in years. The Longhorns defeated Rice last week, but this BYU team is no cereal grain. The Cougars will keep it close with their passing attack and could score a big road upset.  

We started last week tipping readers on Western Michigan, but Michigan led 34-10 in the third quarter, when the game was called because of bad weather. WMU moved the ball at will, with Michigan scoring two defensive touchdowns. Odds makers in Las Vegas refunded all wagers on the incomplete game.
