Who Is The Most Hated College Football Coach?

Lane Kiffin most hated coachA college sports website called Lost Lettermen just wrote an interesting article on the ten most hated coaches in college football, a group who will not win a popularity contest among fans, media or the coaching community anytime soon.

Not surprisingly, the clear winner was USC's Lane Kiffin. Kiffin is trailed by Arkansas' Bobby Petrino, Alabama's Nick Saban (2009 national champion), UCLA's Rick Neuheisel and Ole Miss' Houston Nutt.

The coaches rated six through ten are Dennis Erickson of Arizona State, Bo Pelini at Nebraska, Mike Locksley (fired this week by New Mexico), George O'Leary of Central Florida and defending national champion Auburn's Gene Chizik.

Interestingly, coaches from the city of Los Angeles and the state of Alabama made up four of the ten spots.
