Chip Kelly Moving To Philadelphia?
There will be many openings for NFL coaching jobs, starting in January, and the most intriguing may be in Philadelphia. Andy Reid, who has compiled a career record of 140-101-1, in his 14 years as head coach of the Eagles, most likely will not be back. The Eagles have bumbled their way to a 4-11 recordthis season, with only Sunday's season finale versus the New York Giants remaining.
49-year-old Charles "Chip" Kelly has a record of 45-7, in his four seasons at Oregon. He also happens to be the main object of the Eagles' attention. Kelly had been a collegiate assistant coach for 17 years, but has no professional experience. He almost accepted the Tampa Bay job, one year ago, before returning to Eugene. Kelly may be more interested in making the leap to the NFL, with NCAA sanctions looming against Oregon.
There is also reported interest in Kelly at Carolina and Cleveland, but the Eagles will capture their Duck.
