Upset Alerts From Blacksburg, Seattle, Baton Rouge, Baltimore & DC

Duke is not just a basketball school these days. The 5-1 Blue Devils are a 10-point underdog at slumping Virginia Tech (3-3) and a victory would make Duke bowl-eligible. Think about that sentence.  Look for the Dukies to keep it close, possibly scoring the upset.

It is very difficult to win in Seattle, if you are either a college or NFL team.

Washington is a 13-point underdog against visiting USC. The Huskies just got blown out at Oregon, but are much more formidable at home. The Trojans will win, but the Dawgs could keep it interesting for awhile.

South Carolina is a three-point underdog at LSU.  The Gamecocks are loaded on both sides of the ball and just obliterated highly ranked Georgia last weekend.  On the other hand, the Bayou Bengals are anemic offensively and even the intimidating atmosphere in Baton Rouge won't help. South Carolina gets the upset victory.

Dallas is a 3.5-point road underdog at Baltimore.  The Cowboys seem to be better away from Cowboys Stadium, while the Raven defense is aging. Look for a Dallas upset.

Minnesota is a 1.5-point dog at 2-3 Washington.  The 4-1 Vikes are on a roll and their defense knows how to pressure a quarterback. RG3 is dinged up, so go with Minnesota.
