49ers Break Some Streaks & Make Some News In Green Bay
Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers beat the Green Bay Packers 30-22, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. The 49ers snapped an eight-game losing streak against the Packers, while recording their first win in Green Bay since 1990.
The Packers had won 13 out the last 14 meetings in this series, prior to Sunday.
The game had some noteworthy events take place, including San Francisco kicker David Akers tying an NFL record with a 63-yard field goal, as the first half expired.
The 49ers big offseason acquisition Randy Moss also made an impact on the game, catching a 14- yard touchdown pass, which was ironically was his fourteenth career touchdown versus the Packers.
The other 13 occurred when he played for the Minnesota Vikings.
The 49ers sure look like a team to reckon with, now standing as perhaps the NFC's very best squad.
