49ers Vs. Packers: A Battle Of NFC Heavyweights

Sunday afternoon, the Green Bay Packers host the San Francisco 49ers, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. This is a matchup of last year's top two NFC regular season teams, when the Packers and 49ers finished 15-1 and 13-3 respectively.  

It will also be a game featuring the league's top offense in 2011 (Packers averaged 35.0 PPG) and second ranked defense (49ers allowed 14.3 PPG).

After the New York Giants upset the Packers in the Divisional round of last year's playoffs, these clubs never had the opportunity to square off in the NFC title game.

Green Bay has dominated San Francisco, dating back to 1995. The Packers have won eight consecutive games and 13 of 14 in the series.

This should be a good game, when considering that these two teams could very well meet again during the playoffs come January.
