Aaron Rodgers Signing Autographs (Video)

Thursday night, the NFL regular season gets underway, as the Green Bay Packers pay a visit to the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. While the returning champs are the marquee team in Thursday's matchup, the title of most famous player in the kickoff game still belongs to Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers. Entering his 7th season as a starter, the 30-year-old Cal alum absolutely finds himself on the Mount Rushmore of present-day QB's, along with guys by the name of Brady, Manning and Brees.

In 2013, Rodgers' season was cut short after suffering a broken collarbone in Week 9. He did return to lead Green Bay to the playoffs, with a Week 17 win, before he and the Packers were bounced by the 49ers in the NFC Wild Card round.

For his career, Rodgers possesses a 58-29 regular season record as a starter, with a remarkable ratio of 188 TD passes, compared to only 52 INT. Making matters worse for opposing defenses, Rodgers has tallied an impressive 18 rushing TD's, since taking over for the great Brett Favre.

Rodgers, a Northern California native, spends most of his offseason in The Golden State, calling the Southern California seaside city of Del Mar home.
