Adrian Peterson Sets The 2013 Bar Very High

Adrian Peterson and 2500 yard clubMinnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson barely missed setting a new NFL single season rushing record, falling a mere nine yards short of Eric Dickerson's 2,105-mark, established in 1984. Just so you know, Peterson plans to obliterate the old record in 2013.

In an interview with Marshall Faulk, on the NFL Network, Peterson explained: "I want to make it the 2,500 club. It's definitely out there. I feel like it's definitely attainable. Enjoy this last year because the record's going down, with ease."

With ease?

To reach 2,500, Peterson would have to play in all 16 games next season, while averaging 156.3 yards per game. Let's see what Dickerson has to say about this.
