David Diehl Loves Croatian Soccer & A Whole Lot Of Beer

David Diehl 0.18 blood alcohol levelDavid Diehl is an offensive lineman of Croatian descent, who plays for the Super Bowl champion New York Giants.

Recently, the Chicago native spent time at a sports bar in the Astoria neighborhood of Queens (NY), rooting Croatia to a 3-1 victory over Ireland, in the Euro 2012 soccer tournament.

The 31-year-old Diehl (6-5, 300) was clad in a Team Croatia jersey.

After the match, Diehl drove off in his BMW, promptly crashing it into several parked cars, blocks away from the bar. The big man blew an 0.18 (more than twice the legal limit) and was arrested on a DWI charge.

Experts estimated that Diehl had to down as much as 15 beers, in order to get his blood alcohol reading so high.

Apparently, watching soccer can make you very thirsty.
