Detroit Lions Special Teams Stalwarts Giving Back To The Detroit Community (Photo)

Earlier this month, Lance Martinez from My Detroit Sports was on hand as Lions special teamers Sam Martin (punter), Matt Prater (kicker) and Don Muhlbach (long snapper) participated in the Sam Martin Foundation’s 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway.
Held at Detroit’s Eastern Market Shed 5 building, the event provided Thanksgiving dinner to 100 Metro Detroit families in need. The gathering occurred one mile northeast of Ford Field, the Lions downtown Detroit home venue.
In addition to the Martin Foundation’s efforts, Scott Hankins of Merrill Lynch served as a presenting sponsor.
Coming off their Thanksgiving Day loss to the Vikings, the Lions stand at 6-5, good for second in the NFC North.
