Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill Makes South Florida Real Estate Splash (Video)

Ryan Tannehill Fort Lauderdale HomeMiami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill has had a good, but not great start to his NFL career. During his four seasons as Miami’s starter, the 2012 first round pick has amassed 87 TD passes and 54 INT, while not winning more than eight games in any of those campaigns. Last season, the Texas A&M alum posted 24 TD throws and just 12 INT. Despite this 2 to 1 ratio, the Dolphins finished a meager 6-10.

While many South Florida NFL fans remain up in the air regarding Tannehill’s ability to lead the franchise back to the postseason, the Dolphins organization remains all in on the now 28-year-old. Prior to last season, Miami expressed their confidence when inking the QB to a four-year/$77 million contract, which could balloon to $96 million with bonuses. Tannehill is guaranteed  $45 million of the massive package.

With financial security in hand, earlier this year, Tannehill and his wife Lauren purchased a 5,500-square-foot home in Fort Lauderdale, two blocks south of Las Olas Blvd, the city’s main commercial thoroughfare.

The $4.3 million abode was originally built in 1982, but takes on the look of a more mid-century modern home. Designed by a Frank Lloyd Wright disciple, the open floor plan features 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, both indoor and outdoor kitchens, a large pool, waterfront access to the intercostal (with boat dock), as well as a guesthouse, which plays host to an exercise room.

Below is a full video tour of the pad that sits 1.5 miles west of the Atlantic Ocean, 11 miles northeast of the Dolphins Davie (FL) practice facility, 18 miles northeast of Hard Rock Stadium (latest name for Dolphins home field) and 28 miles north of downtown Miami.
