The Eagles Victory Parade Route Has A Distinctly Philadelphia Feel
Thursday, an anticipated crowd of between two and three million fans are expected to take in the Eagles Super Bowl LII victory parade. Sunday’s 41-33 win over the Patriots marked the franchise’s first-ever Super Bowl win and its first NFL title since all the way back in 1960.
The parade route takes on a uniquely Philadelphia ambiance, with the procession beginning near the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, home to the Eagles, Phillies, 76ers and Flyers home stadiums.
The starting point is also in close proximity to the Novacare Complex, which serves as the champs’ team headquarters.
The parade then heads north on Broad Street to Philadelphia City Hall (near the intersection of Broad and Market Streets), followed by a jaunt down Benjamin Franklin Parkway, culminating in a celebratory program at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, home to the famous “Rocky Steps.”
All told, the journey will cover roughly five raucous miles.
The City of Philadelphia has announced that due to security and public safety concerns, parking will not be available at the stadium complex. @SEPTAPHILLY recommends using the Broad Street or Market-Frankford Lines.
