Harrison Smith Posing For A Good Cause (Photo)

Harrison Smith is a second year safety for the Minnesota Vikings. Smith, a Notre Dame alum, had a fabulous rookie season in 2012, totaling 104 tackles and 3 interceptions, including 2 returned for touchdown. Last season's performance helped turn the Vikings into a playoff team.

2013 has not been anywhere near as kind to both Smith and the Vikings. Smith has only been able to play in 6 games, due to a turf toe injury. Sunday, he returned to the lineup, after missing the previous 8 games, collecting 8 tackles in the last place Vikings 48-30 win over the Eagles.

Last week, an iFolloSports.com contributor met Harrison Smith, as part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities program. The above picture shows the contributor and his little brother with Smith, on the turf of Mall of America Field in Minneapolis. Smith was very gracious to all those in attendance.
