Jared Goff Not Yet Ready To Be A Hollywood Leading Man (Video)
Last week, the Rams completed their preseason schedule on the road at the Vikings spectacular new home, US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. For the Rams, (besides the franchise’s big move back to Los Angeles), the offseason’s second biggest story involved the team trading with the Titans to acquire University of California quarterback Jared Goff. All told, LA gave up six total picks, including the club’s first rounder in 2016 and its first and third round selections in 2017, in their quest to select the Northern California native with the first overall pick.
Through training camp and the preseason, Goff was never expected to start right away, so it was no surprise that he was beaten out by veteran quarterback Case Keenum. Earlier in the week, it was announced that Goff would be listed as inactive for LA’s Week 1 matchup at the 49ers. The 21-year-old is now the team’s third string signal caller.
Above is iFolloSports.com original video of Goff running drills with the offense, prior to the game in Minnesota, which was his first start of the preseason. Goff was not great in the contest that followed completing 6 of 16 passes, for 67 yards, with a TD pass, fumble and interception.
