Jason Witten Beloved By Cowboys Fans (Video)

Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten has been one of the NFL's most prolific players at his position, going all the way back to 2004. From '04 through last season, the Tennessee-alum has averaged an astonishing 83 catches per season. The seven-time Pro Bowler now ranks third on the NFL's all-time pass catching list for tight ends and is the fastest tight end in league history to amass 600 receptions.

If Witten keeps producing at this incredible pace, his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame would be an absolute certainty. The man simply gets it done, year, after year, after year.

Last Thursday, after the conclusion of the Cowboys training camp practice in Oxnard (CA), Witten ran past an awaiting group of autograph seekers, receiving a thunderous ovation. The 6-6 pass catcher subsequently stopped to sign for a couple of ecstatic fans, positioned towards the end of the fenced in area.

No matter one's feelings about the Cowboys (fans generally either love or hate the iconic franchise), it is pretty difficult not to respect and admire the body of work of Jason Witten.
