Marcus Mariota Flying High After The Titans Shocking Win Over The Chiefs (Video)
The most shocking game of Wild Card weekend no doubt occurred in Kansas City, when the Titans came back from 21-3 down to stun the Chiefs 22-21. Thanks to this debacle of a loss, KC now owns a six-game home playoff losing streak, with their last Arrowhead Stadium postseason win occurring all the way back in 1994.
Tennessee’s shocking playoff victory occurred thanks in large measure to the second half performance of former Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota. The third-year QB struggled in the first half, before leading his team to 19 unanswered points.
All told, the Honolulu native went 19-31 for 205 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT and 1 TD catch, thanks to scoring on a batted ball that he had originally thrown.
After a disappointing regular season that witnessed a major statistical reduction from his outstanding 2016, Mariota is now flying high.
Check out the 24-year-old QB celebrating with Titans fans at Arrowhead, shortly after the absolutely shocking win.
Tennessee now heads to New England, Saturday night at 8:15 ET.
