Matthew Stafford Appearance Highlights (Video)

Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford may not necessarily be in the midst of his most prolific statistical season. But, it can easily be argued that his Lions are playing better than at any point since the Georgia alum was drafted number one overall, back in 2009. Presently, Detroit leads the NFC North with a record of 6-2. While Stafford has thrown for only 11 TD's (due in large measure to injuries sustained by Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush), the Lions are cruising, with the 26-year-old's leadership playing a big part in the team's success.

Without question, Stafford's best individual campaign occurred in 2011, when he became only the fifth QB to pass for more than 5,000 yards in a season. Stafford's 41 TD passes catapulted Detroit into the postseason for the first time since 1999.

For his career, the product of Dallas' Highland Park High School has averaged 22 TD tosses per season, not including 2014.

Thursday, Detroit's big armed QB made an appearance hosted by DetroitCitySports, at the Lakeside Mall, in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
