Mike Zimmer Autograph Appearance In MN | Video

Above is iFolloSports.com original video of popular Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer signing autographs, Thursday, at Fan HQ Sports Apparel and Collectables, in the Twin Cities suburb of Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Zimmer's appearance occurred in conjunction with the “More Than Words” fundraiser, associated with his Mike Zimmer Foundation. All $9,000 of ticket sales from the event were directed to the charity which honors Zimmer’s late wife Vicki, who passed away suddenly in 2009.

Zimmer is entering his third season as Vikings coach. He posted an 18-14 record, during his first two campaigns, including guiding Minnesota to an 11-5 mark and NFC North Division title last season.

Zimmer is credited with dramatically changing the Vikings culture, turning the club into a very rough and tumble defensive team, very much in their head coach’s image. In 2015, Minnesota finished with the fifth ranked defense in the category of points against. By comparison, the season before Zimmer took over the team, the defense ranked dead last in the very same category.

Zimmer was a very well respected defensive coach for many years before finally getting his first head coaching gig at the age of 58. The Illinois native had previously worked under the likes of the Bengals Marvin Lewis and Bill Parcells, during the hall of famer’s tenure with the Cowboys.

Coming off last year’s division title, amid moving into the spectacular, brand new US Bank Stadium, Zimmer has the Minnesota fan-base very excited about the team’s future.

Fan HQ Eden Prairie sits 16 miles southwest of the Vikings home field, which is found in downtown Minneapolis.
