The Minnesota Vikings Are Building An Amazing New Headquarters
Next year, the Minnesota Vikings will move into a brand new headquarters and training facility, located in the Twin Cities suburb of Eagan, Minnesota. The new complex will sit 17 miles east of the team’s longtime Eden Prairie (MN) HQ, 12 miles south of US Bank Stadium and 8 miles east of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
The Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center will serve as the first component of what will eventually be 200 acres of developed land. The 40-acre, phase 1 of construction will include five outdoor practice fields, an indoor practice field, a 6,000-seat outdoor stadium, as well as full player, coaches and administrative operational facilities.
Currently, the organization’s business offices are split amongst three separate buildings.
Future phases of the massive complex will likely feature residential, commercial and mixed use structures, along with the construction of a hotel, conference center, amphitheater and Vikings hall of fame.
In addition, the Vikings new home will house an accelerator program for startup companies and a TV studio for aspiring broadcasters.
Once the project is fully complete, the site should bear a resemblance to the Dallas Cowboys new mega headquarters, located in the north Dallas suburb of Frisco, Texas.
