No Ben Roethlisberger Is A Big Deal For The Steelers

Ben Roethlisberger 11-8 vs Ravens

Thursday night, the Steelers host the Ravens in an AFC North matchup. This game certainly has a different feel than what was initially expected, because the Ravens are a surprising 0-3 (first time in team history) and the Steelers are without star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Roethlisberger took a low hit to his left knee in last week’s win over the Rams and is out up to six weeks with a sprained MCL and bone bruise. Michael Vickis now the Steelers signal caller until Roethlisberger returns.

The notoriously good Ravens defense has not looked the same this season, boasting of only the 22nd ranked unit in the NFL. The Ravens definitely catch a break in not having to face Roethlisberger and his 11-8 career record against them.

In Pittsburgh, this contest normally favors the Steelers, but with Big Ben out and the team not very accustomed to Michael Vick yet, the Ravens are in position to win their first game of the season.
