Packers Vs. Vikings Offers An Interesting Array Of Streaks
Saturday night, the 11-5 Green Bay Packers host the 10-6 Minnesota Vikings, in an NFC Wild Card game. This will be the third meeting of these two heated NFC North rivals, in the last month, including last week's thrilling 37-34 Vikings victory in Minnesota, which propelled them into the postseason.
The Packers have had their way with the Vikings during the past several years. Last week's Minnesota win snapped a five-game losing streak, and since 2006, the Packers are 10-4 in the series.
Green Bay is a heavy favorite in this game, however, the once dominant Lambeau Field playoff home field advantage has lost some of it's mystique over the years, as the Packers are a surprising 2-4, in their last six home playoff games.
The Packers have lost two straight home playoff games (both to the New York Giants) and three of four overall, including a 31-17 loss to the Vikings in a 2005 Wild Card playoff contest.
