Philip Rivers Preparing For 2015 Season (Video)
Chargers QB Philip Rivers has been one of the NFL's top signal callers, dating back to 2006, when he became San Diego's full-time starter. Rivers originally joined the Chargers in 2004. During his career, Rivers has thrown 252 touchdown passes, while amassing 36,655 passing yards. The NC State alum's résumé includes 5 Pro Bowls and a career 95.7 QB Rating.
During this past offseason, it looked liked Rivers and the Chargers longtime alliance maybe nearing its end, due to rumors of trade talks and the possibly that the 33-year-old may not want to accompany the team to Los Angeles, if the Chargers relocate there next season. However, late last week, Rivers and the Chargers agreed to a new four-year/$84 million contract extension, with $65 million guaranteed. Rivers and his very large family (expecting 8th child) will now be staying put in Southern California, likely for many years to come.
On the very same day that Rivers officially signed his new deal, iFolloSports.com gathered the above original video of the QB working out at Chargers training camp.
Fans can check out additional video from that day, including some big name Chargers signing autographs after practice.
