Pregame Video From A Day That Would End In Disaster For Carson Wentz

Carson Wentz tears ACL versus RamsSunday was a bittersweet day for the Philadelphia Eagles in Los Angeles. The franchise clinched the NFC East title, thanks to a 43-35 win over the Rams, in what turned out to be one of the most entertaining games of the season.

And now for the bitter portion of the day.

In the third quarter, Eagles star QB Carson Wentz left the game with what would later be diagnosed as a torn ACL.  He will miss the remainder of the season. The injury occurred on a Wentz touchdown dive that was called back due to a penalty.

Prior to his third quarter exit, Wentz was in the midst of yet another stellar day, throwing for 291 yards, with 4 TD and 1 INT.

This season, Wentz has completed 60 percent of his passes, while tossing 33 TD, with only 7 INT. Many observers believed that these numbers, combined with the Eagles’ great record, warranted Wentz for possible MVP consideration.

Below is a look at some of Wentz’s pregame efforts, in the hours leading up to his unfortunate injury.

The first clips shows the North Dakota State alum getting loose on the LA Coliseum field.

The second look displays the 24-year-old pumping up his teammates, on the edge of the Coliseum tunnel.
